Dating back to the 1920s, auto body work has been part of the Salem, MA community, with one of the city’s first repair facilities located down the infamous hill. In the 1950s, Thomas “Tommy” Lupo operated a shop here, followed by his son Jeffrey Lupo, each contributing to the tradition of quality auto repair in the area.

In 2021, his granddaughter Corrin Lupo opened Salem Auto Body LLC as a completely new, independently operated business. Drawing inspiration from her family’s history in the industry, she has built a modern, technologically advanced, and efficient repair facility that serves today’s customers.

What happens after a collision?

The repair process can feel confusing or even daunting, but it is usually simpler than it seems. Salem Auto Body helps guide you from claim to completion.

1. Start your insurance claim After a collision, collect the necessary information from the other party and contact your insurance carrier to start a claim.
2. Contact Salem Auto Body Open our chat or call us to start your estimate and schedule the next step for your vehicle.
3. Estimate and rental assistance Depending on the situation, your insurance company may write the initial estimate, or we may send one to them. We can also help arrange an Enterprise rental car if needed.
4. Disassembly and supplement review Once the vehicle is on site, we disassemble it. If additional hidden damage is found, a supplement estimate is usually written for review and approval.
5. Repair, clean, and pickup Once everything is approved by you and your insurance company, repairs begin. Then your car is cleaned and ready to go.
